Invitation from the CEO

Dear Members, Affiliates, Associates and Sector Supporters

As CEO of PowerHousing Australia, and on behalf of our Board we extend a warm welcome and invite our Members, Affiliates, Associated, International partners and invited guests to attend the 2018 PowerHousing Annual Member Exchange.

Our Sector has come a long way in the past 12 months and we are absolutely well positioned in the lead up to the next Federal election to network, collaborate and share knowledge in the seat of government.

The conference provides excellent opportunities for CHPs, Affiliate Partners, thought leaders and decision makers from Sector, Industry and Government to come together as engines for action to ignite and power social change in affordable housing.

I look forward to welcoming you to Canberra in August 2018.

About the 2018 PowerHousing Australia Annual Member Exchange

The 2018 PowerHousing Annual Member Exchange will take place on 21-23 August in Canberra located at the National Convention Centre, Australian Parliament House – Mural Hall, National Gallery of Australia, Rydges Capital Hill and Canberra Crowne Plaza.

Our Member Exchange brings together the key thought leaders and decision makers on affordable housing from throughout the country to the one place. As such the Member Exchange itself is an ‘Engine for Action’ and the engagement undertaken by around 250 invited guests of PowerHousing that shapes the future of affordable housing delivery and social outcomes for decades to come.

Our Member Exchange is a unique opportunity to network at a high level with Sector leaders, Political leaders and Department Heads as well as discuss best practice, future trends and policy direction in the affordable housing sphere.
The conference includes Community of Practice Meetings, Round Table meetings, a Non-Executives Forum, Rising Stars Immersion and a trade show, as well as the PowerHousing Australia Awards Dinner.

The conference theme focuses on PowerHousings role as ‘Engines for Action: Igniting and Powering Social Change’. Keynote speakers include Piers Williamson, Chief Executive of The Housing Finance Corporation in the UK, Doug Bibby, President of the US’ National Multifamily Housing Council and Lisa Mallory, CEO of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association.

Topics of interest for the member exchange have been sought from our Members best practice to international examples of social and affordable housing delivery.

As of last year, our CEOs had one to one with the National Treasurer which illustrates the level of interest in our Member group the calibre of which we will look to pursue for the 2018 event.
